Translate while we talk
The technical design takes shape as we talk. We ask the right questions from both the technical side and the user and product side.
We turn what traders and operations teams need into requirements, a technical design and an iteration plan, often within the first conversation. Then we ship it in small, reliable steps. Our senior engineers have built trading, risk and AI systems at a tier-1 investment bank, a leading crypto market maker and a multi-strategy hedge fund.
Finance software often struggles at the handoff between users and builders. Four patterns we've seen.
What usually happens
What it costs users
What we do instead
Needs get lost in translation between the people who use the software and the people who build it
Users feel unheard, and designs drift from what they need or can't be built well
We speak the language of traders and operations, cover both business and technology, and have built these systems many times
Delivery focuses on closing tickets rather than on outcomes
Requests shrink into tickets and nobody owns the outcome
We own the outcome and check that the desk actually uses what we build
Building only for today's request
Rework and re-architecture every quarter
We foresee where the desk is heading and design for it now
Over-engineering: the technology becomes the goal and drifts away from the business need
What's needed now arrives late, wrapped in complexity nobody asked for
We build what the business needs now, as simply as possible, and keep the design ready for what comes next
01
The technical design takes shape as we talk. We ask the right questions from both the technical side and the user and product side.
02
We draw out the bigger picture, because it matters for the architecture. Sometimes one feature makes the whole design fall into place.
03
You get a high-level plan of the iterations up front: what comes first, what follows and roughly when.
04
We deliver iteratively, with the care that finance software demands.
01
Trading platforms, direct order entry, pre-staged order sets, TWAP exits (including via third-party brokers), position monitoring, exchange connectivity, and post-trade client accounts and statements.
02
Agents and AI search, built and running for real users.
03
Live pricing, risk and stress testing for FX and equity volatility, multi-vendor market data feeds, backtesting on tick data, and portfolio dashboards and reporting.
04
Audit trails on trading screens, latency monitoring and schema adherence, event KPIs, policy-as-code authorisation, and post-trade regulatory controls for mandatory clearing.
05
The people you meet are the people who build. We're used to taking work from scratch to deployment fast, and to working directly with portfolio managers, traders, quants and operations teams.
